Volunteer Roles & Job Postings

Volunteer Roles

These are smaller and more specialized roles that are also very important to our club's success! These roles require specific skills but less time weekly. Some are for certain periods or just occasional as needed.

Secretary -or- Admin Tasks (one or several)

CORC does not have a current Secretary (board position) so these tasks are required and could be taken on by one or several people. 


  • Monitor CORC email 
  • Work with Tech. Volunteer to maintain CORC documents & Website 
  • Work with Bookkeeper to maintain records 
  • Create meeting Agenda & take minutes 
  • Weekly Newsletter Composition 
  • Assist with Membership lists/processing

Events Volunteer

This group would work with the Event Administrator and the directors to plan/run/volunteer/setup our social rides, marked loops, Season opener bike swap and final big ride (stick a corc in it).  

Bike Bazaar (spring) Volunteer Committee

This group would work with the Event Administrator and the directors to plan/run/volunteer/setup the spring bike bazaar opener ride.  There would be small winter/spring time and then the weekend of the event would be larger time commitment.  

- Event is around the last weekend in May (not the long weekend)

Stick a Corc in it (year end - sept ) Volunteer Committee

This group would work with the Event Administrator and the directors to plan/run/volunteer/setup the year end ride/event.  There would be small summer time with a few meetings to plan and organize and then the weekend of the event would be larger time commitment.  

- Event is around the 3rd weekend September (TBC)

Volunteer Coordinator

Work with directors to isolate needs and communicate and organize members for trail builds, events, socials, and other. Candidate should be great with email, communication and love being in-person at events, boosting the fun/enthusiasm!

GIS MAPPING

Someone skilled at mapping using 'GIS' software to help with visualizing, proposing, advocating and planning out future trail projects. 

Design

Design corc branded clothing, images and other items for CORC


Possibly maintain/update website or print signage signs, jersey designs and other images.


Occasional and relatively low/flexible time commitment


Sign Design, Planning, Printing and installation

  • Design great signage
  • install signage and organize install/take-down days
  • Maintain stock and track needs 
  • Access to vinyl printer or other method of making trail signage an asset



Grant Writing and Reporting

As CORC grows the need for grant applications to aid in club events & trail development is crucial.  We welcome any experience in this area.  This candidate would work alongside the advocacy director and committee. 

Trail Volunteer

A member in this group would work with the trail director to action specific trail tasks ranging from marking trails, marking courses for events, on-trail maintenance, organizing/leading trail build nights.


CORC BOARD Roles

The CORC Board of directors is a more time intensive role that is typically filled drawing from the pool of volunteers from the previous seasons. If you are keen to join the board then get out for events, trail days or inquire about tasks that need your help (as above!) *see current Board here

President - Next Nomination 2026

Leads the Board and executes the vision of CORC

  • Guides board 
  • chairs meetings
  • develops community groups 

Secretary *unfilled* Next Nomination 2026

Treasurer - Next Nomination 2026

Plan and Track CORC Financials 

  • Works closely with President and Book-keeper
  • Reports monthly on CORC budget to board
  • Speaks at AGM on year-end financial documents
  • Supports Event and Trail planning / budgeting

Vice President - Next Nomination 2026

  • Provide support to President's tasks
  • Oversee 1+ committees or events 
  • Foster relationships within CORC and with other community groups 
  • Event Support

Sponsorship Director - Next Nomination 2026

  • Plan events 
  •  and execute 

Trails Directors - Next Nomination 2026

  • Directors for each CORC managed property (Highlands and Craigleith) 
  • Foster great landowner relationships
  • Plan and oversee trail maintenance
  • Signage 
  • Trail nights 

Community and Grant Director - Next Nomination 2027

  • Plan community events and collaborations 
  • maintain Trail forks and strava
  • perform grant applications / reports

Advocacy Director - Next Nomination 2027

  • Ensure current trails remain open to mountain bikes
  • Advocate for new trails and areas 
  • Develop/Maintain relationships with local governments
  • Participate or lead committees for projects such as Pump Track Collingwood
