These are smaller and more specialized roles that are also very important to our club's success! These roles require specific skills but less time weekly. Some are for certain periods or just occasional as needed.
CORC does not have a current Secretary (board position) so these tasks are required and could be taken on by one or several people.
This group would work with the Event Administrator and the directors to plan/run/volunteer/setup our social rides, marked loops, Season opener bike swap and final big ride (stick a corc in it).
This group would work with the Event Administrator and the directors to plan/run/volunteer/setup the spring bike bazaar opener ride. There would be small winter/spring time and then the weekend of the event would be larger time commitment.
- Event is around the last weekend in May (not the long weekend)
This group would work with the Event Administrator and the directors to plan/run/volunteer/setup the year end ride/event. There would be small summer time with a few meetings to plan and organize and then the weekend of the event would be larger time commitment.
- Event is around the 3rd weekend September (TBC)
Work with directors to isolate needs and communicate and organize members for trail builds, events, socials, and other. Candidate should be great with email, communication and love being in-person at events, boosting the fun/enthusiasm!
Someone skilled at mapping using 'GIS' software to help with visualizing, proposing, advocating and planning out future trail projects.
Design corc branded clothing, images and other items for CORC
Possibly maintain/update website or print signage signs, jersey designs and other images.
Occasional and relatively low/flexible time commitment
As CORC grows the need for grant applications to aid in club events & trail development is crucial. We welcome any experience in this area. This candidate would work alongside the advocacy director and committee.
A member in this group would work with the trail director to action specific trail tasks ranging from marking trails, marking courses for events, on-trail maintenance, organizing/leading trail build nights.
The CORC Board of directors is a more time intensive role that is typically filled drawing from the pool of volunteers from the previous seasons. If you are keen to join the board then get out for events, trail days or inquire about tasks that need your help (as above!) *see current Board here
