In 2024 we will perform maintenance on open trails at 3-stage/pretty river in partnership with Ontario Parks. We view this as a first step in collaborating on the 3-stage network and a bright future for mountain biking in the park.
Details on the maintenance days and plans will follow in newsletters and to existing lists of 3-stage volunteers (e.g. Friends of 3-stage)
CORC respects Ontario Parks' authority and its decisions, including trail closures. Though we may question the fairness of these decisions, we comply with set regulations and can not work on closed trails.
We are advocating for future improvements and solutions for trail continuity and access for top-to-bottom users, while working to avoid the concerns around enviromental impact.
Addressing this has been identified as a priority for CORC and the MTB community. Ontario Parks has already initiated discussions on exploring potential options for trails going from top-to-bottom (pretty river to the top of 3-stage)
It will not be 'fixed' in 2024 from what we can tell at this time.
All maps and current statuses of the trail network can be found on Trailforks.
